| Renovation ex San Costanzo Church
This little medieval church, abandoned for generations, had been
turned into a water cistern, then abandoned for a second time and
lay half-buried by soil and weeds. It was inaccessible from the
road, so we constructed a platform so that small diggers and bulldozers,
hoisted by a crane, could reach the site. Excavations produced a
great surprise: we found the remains of a much older building and
reconstructed it with the same techniques that were used in the
early Middle Ages. The stones from the cistern wall were used for
retaining walls. We installed a special wiring system used for ancient
monuments so as not to damage the 700-year-old walls.
